What axle ratios are you guys running with 35" tires?

Im probly going to do this for more clearance plus had a rear tire blow out and crushed rear fender

It'd be great for clearance if you also had pretty beat up bedsides. My passenger side got pushed in a good amount from a tire blowout as well, but opted to just pull it back into place.

I'm running the factory 4.11's in stock dana44 & gm 12bolt axles.

Depends on your transmission, for example if your running an overdrive auto like a 700r4 or 4L60/80, you would need deep gearing like 488s.

I can't comment on 5 speed manual transmissions... are they overdrive in 5th gear? Kinda don't think they are...

Just to mention, another good trick is to use a DIY or OffRoadDesign 'easy inch'. Not so much for the extra 1 inch but you can move your front axle forward an inch if your steering geometry can take it. Depends how you use your truck still might make tire contact though.

On mine, I had more issue with the tires contacting the front of the fenders much quicker than the rear of them.

Good point chicken and I forgot to mention this. You know the cab has some leeway to adjust forward and back on the frame mounts? That would account for tire vs wheel opening placement.
And of course tire width and rim width/back spacing will effect this also.
In my perfect world (yeah whatever) I like the cab as far back as possible, front axle as far forward as possible. Trim front of wheel opening, remove all the way up to the horizontal (81 and up) marker light. Even then with 35s and twisting up the truck the rubber will meet the rear fender opening, asaik.

Dana 44 front, 12 bolt rear, both have limited slips and 4.10 gears, SM456 four speed. 70 mph is around 3,000 rpm

If that’s a 44 up front that’s sitting on 3/4 tons lol a D60 would be on tons this post is not to ridicule it’s to inform. Just Incase who ever you got it from told you it was on tons. 3/4 ton K5 is cool too

14 bolts were used for 1 ton and 3/4 ton
