More flex with the shackle flip. Axle moves forward 1/2 inch with ORD flip.
Springs are just springs. Ride rough, flex okay.
If your rear springs are in good shape, do the shackle flip. Use they're offset plates to move it back.
Unless you wanna do zero rates front and rear for a total of 5" lift.

I have rough country 4" all spring with zero rates.
I'm leaning toward spring. Didn't know the flip would move it forward.
The flip causes the axle to move forward because you are not changing the front pivot point of the spring, only the rear. I'd go with the springs since they're less work.
I had 6" Skyjacker all spring lift on a K5 back in the early 90's. Rode great, but I think my 36" radials made it a little bouncy due to sidewall flex (load range C). I towed my 18' car trailer with a '68 El Camino on it without issues (5000-5500 LBS).

I remember the good old days. Huge lifts, big tires.
Now its smallest lift with biggest tires.

Just need it to be multi purpose. The less arch a spring has the better it flexes. So a spring lift with addition arch built in for lift will be a stiffer less flexy spring. Depending what you use your truck for this could be just fine.
Before rock hoppers there were rock crawlers... old trucks with 4" lift springs, long shocks, big tires and modified body work. They actually work really awesome.

Just need it to be multi purpose.
Not rock crawling or driving F1 with it.
Dirt, mud, trails, highway, monster sized pot holes in DFW and maybe snow if I go north in the winter.
