Just FYI, anyone interested in a good deal on some NOT FOR USE WITH SQUAREBODY TRUCKS jack stands, there are a good deal at $14.99.

Normal Price is $34.99 and they are on sale frequently for $24.99, but with a Super Coupon they are $14.99 right now.

These are known to be weak and will bend over when using on a SB if they are extended to any height at all. Good for the ricer type cars and about it IMO. However, the 6 Ton units aren't bad.

But, for building an axle in the garage or shop floor, these are great, especially at this price. I'm getting a set for that purpose.

You'd be the first one I've ever heard had a problem.

That wrench had to be a defect, I used a shorter 1/2 in breaker bar with a 4' pipe standing on it to get a lug nut off and the breaker still works today.

I got 12 ton jack stands but they are OLD OLD craftsman brand from the 80's and they are built like a tank. The multi meter is junk i recommend you go on eBay and get a Simpson brand volt/ohm meter it is analog readout but they are more accurate from the 60's it is boat anchor but it does a fine and it has duty leads

Yep, I have one in my roll away along side my good Acrton, one in my desk drawer, one in my tool bag or Pull A Part, never had a problem with either one of the 3. If and when it does take a dump, no worries, I got my $1.99 use of it, and haven't damaged my $50 one.

I'm noticing a pattern, all this cheap **** at HF, which we all know is a crap shoot, but the few items that are cheap and seem to work good for everyone else, fail for Jake. Hence the 25in breaker bar and now the cheap DVOM. Sup with that Jake? Maybe your HF get all the bad returned items. Thinking I'd just avoid that HF.

i try to avoid them with a passion but i noticed there is good and bad in our store. the hand tools are ok but drill bits and power tools suck and some of test equipment is ok but the rest is junk.

i bought a engine there to replace the blown Briggs on my roto tiller and that was 3 yrs ago and it still works fine no problems yet. but i have bought a generator with the same engine but it was complete junk.

so there is good and bad in everything. like craftsman and dewalt tools are getting shittier every year.when i venture to a flea market or garage sales i look for older tools and snatch them up because to tell you they are better grade and they last longer.

I do the same...I collect old sockets, wrenches, ratchets and screwdrivers. I just sold off some though so I am always looking for more.
