No I didn't but he did drive and parked it where I could swap it. I never did disconnect anything yet so maybe I could if I had a skid steer.

True, I took of a valve cover that has the hose going to it but it almost looked bone dry

Yea factory and make sure to get a catch can of some sort. You can make one from a air compressor line air drier... or buy one of the like. http://www.accmachtech.com/catchcans.asp

The catch can looks pretty sweet and looks like it could almost fit where my gas vapor can used to be.

Yup. I put one on my 2000 Durango and it was amazing to see how much oil vapor builds up in there.

Yea try putting a cheap one on a old 350...you'll see what I'm talkin bout. Even that air line drier will do the same. Just have to put a container of some sort under to contain the oil vapor

Got one but it's blowing oil from the hole in the pan too.
