I want to put an AOD in my baby. I have a chance to get a 200 r4 from a friend for a decent price. will this work with my C10

No, thats a camaro, small s10 transmission. you need a 700 r4, but dont skimp on it. HotRod PC is they guy to talk to about transmissions.

i think a 200 is a bop bolt pattern, and a 700 is chevy. I could be wrong about that though

200 could be had in chevy pattern. I have one in my Monte SS. Personally I would go with a 200 before 700 for a 2wd truck (if a choice was present) as the 1-2 shift rpm drop is not as severe. Stock for stock a 700 is slightly stronger than a 200, but once you start rebuilding and beefing them up, a 200 is a stout transmission. Not to mention a 200 is a fairly swap for a TH350, all you need to move is the crossmember.

Yes, it did.

The 200 had two different bolt patterns. A dedicated BOP, and a universal one that included Chevy.

I swapped in a 2004R instead of the stock TH350 on a Cutlass. The overdrive is a little deeper than the 700. It worked great. But for the weight of a truck, you should rebuild it with the latest upgrades for strength.
