Are there any differences between a 73-79 4x4 cab and a 73-79 non-4x4 cab?

Yes, the trans tunnel is larger on a 4x4 and has a cutout for the t-case shifter

both of these are good questions. looking to replace a 2wd cab with a 4wd cab....if its just the tunnel thats ok.
The second question on engine swap mine is a bit different. How hard is it to swap a straight 6 with a 350?
