I installed a 2/4 McCaughys Maxtrax drop level suspension.
Kit came with no instructions, couldn’t find any online.

With never installing a lowering kit before we put the drop shackle in the rear of the leafs and now I’m starting to get a knot in my bed bottom.

would I be able to move the drop mounts to the front of the leafs and have more space? Or should I get a shorter shackle?

figured I’d ask before I go and remove leafs/overloads.

You probably need to trim the bed support where the shackle is hitting.

Already did, it’s knocking a dent in the bed floor not the support.

You can’t flip ends. Shorter shackle is your best option.
Pics help a lot. Let’s us see what you can’t explain.

Yeah like @eskimomann209 says. I think we need some pics. I've never seen the shackle hit the actual bed floor. Even with shackles and hangers in the back.

isnt that the front spring hanger? thats supposed to be on the front of the spring flipped the other way. its upside down. with the 4" drop its the stock rear hanger with the longer shackle, and replace the front spring hanger.

This is correct. That's a upside front spring hangar.

Rare, but they can hit with wood bedfloors. Probably not a lot of the combination of wood floor and drop shackles running around though.

I've got the wood/drop combo. Had to cut the bed support away. Not a structural issue.

56" long spring set don't need to cut the bed! :)

Couple plus sides to all this, 1) The ass end will be lower then the pic you posted so that will be cool. 2) You live and you learn from your mistakes. Trust me, If I had a dollar for all the **** I’ve put on backwards or upside down I’d have enough money to drive a different square every day of the week. So flip your bracket, bolt the bastard on the front and roll on.
