Attaboy, that's what I like to hear.

Make it to NC and we can ride in the suburban

She sounds like a old school hot rod with the exh straight into a Flowmaster 40 (nothing after) , and runs 2500 rpm@ 90 mph roughly

Only obnoxious part is the A/T tires
Should be mt tires. Idc bout road noise!

I’d like to go, it seems feasible. It’s about 475 miles, seven hours to get there. I’d plan to go in the ole Jimbo, of course. It looks like I finally got all the ignition bugs sorted out, and she’s doing better these days than she has in the past two years.

The only thing I can't say 100% I stand behind is the transmission. At some point its been removed and had service, but it's kinda sluggish, sort-of slides into gear.

Dad said it used to slam thru gears.

Before I drained all the fluid out the trans, it would bang thru gears, now it just kinda slides thru gears after a fluid and filter change:(
I dumped all the magical pixie dust out.
(it was getting stuck in 3rd gear and not downshifting, I guess from sitting for 6+ years)

So I'll wanna have that total rebuilt real stout before I even consider a drive to Texas.

Anyone local to me interested in going to this?
Was visting @WamboJambo this evening and discussing it.

Some of you local boys to me @Snoots @gotyourgoat @bigcountry78 @80BrownK10

Would yall have an interest in either
A. Carpooling in my burb/other vehicles
B. riding in a caravan of vehicles to this event?
Just saw this.

Man I'd love to go, bit that's smack dabb in the middle of turkey season. And if I went the wife and son would want to go...not that she's into squares but that she would want to go do something.

As much fun as it would be to actually meet some of you kids and clowns, there's no way I could finance a trip there ........
And then there are the times I just don't feel sociable and stay in my own little world.
