traded my 95 k1500+loads of cash for a 1994 c3500 crew cab. Unfortunately I though of seeing it advertised with 160k miles and did not verify that point at any time during the transaction. It has 250k miles on it.:banghead:

Feeling payed a bit much for it. Hoping the claim of being very well maintained is true and see if it holds up.

Interior looks a little dirty, but some people just don't clean the inside like they do the outside which looks really good for being 21 years old, idk the details but I'd say 3K wouldn't be a bad price being that it's a c not a k

I payed equivalent of 3k for it, but for that price can usually find some lower milage examples. First repair was a broken seat spring setup.

Added some extra foam on one side(the one that sagged more)

Even with that many miles they can't be too hard judging from the outside

changed oil, looks like it has been a long time sense last change. Oil came back well used, but it did have a wix filter on it. Under the valve covers is clean with no sludge build up. Needs new headlights really badly, also voltage drops from 14 to 12 after running for a bit. Did not make it far without pulling the tbi off for new gaskets and fpr. Also replaced pvc vacuum hose. Used spark plug boot there for the 90* turn. Hoping this will help with slight hesitation of idle.

picked up some parts for it today. Hood, tail gate, hid headlights, alternator(came with a bracket I need for the suburban) and a grille that is not cracked to pieces like the current one. Wanted to replace the hood because it opened at speed at some point of time causing misalignment and dents around the hinges. Was not noticeable right away because it is faded, but been bothering me once i did notice it.

I'm digging the early grille. I always wanted to do the 88-89 glass headlights on my 97 Yukon, but never did. I bet those would look good on that truck.

had couple of items build up in needing to be done. Power steering pump was leaking from bottom half of it. I was not able to trace exactly which spot, so put a seal kit in it and jb welded the seam just in case. The pulley gave trouble, but fortunately I had a spare pump on the shelf to steal the pulley from.

Did a back yard repair on the broken mirror plastics using stand offs. Also did a center bearing, but now picking up some high frequency vibration. Have to figure out that one.

Added new ground and power wires and replaces a stripped ground terminal. Actually able to get decent volt reading after start up. And put some snake oil in the engine and it actually did some difference. Runs a bit smoother, does not blow blue on start up as much and raised an oil pressure about 4-5 psi. All of the effects also appear to still remain there after the oil change. Will see how long it lasts. It used to be about 12 psi hot idle, but now steadily staying around 18psi on hot idle.

Ac hoses have been slowly leaking. Decided to get them repaired. Required an unneccessary long lever to get the accumulator connection loose.

More maintenance things. Replaced the water pump and started tracing all the exhaust leaks. Passenger exhaust manifold is cracked. Though was being smart by pulling one from the spare motor sitting in the garage, but turned out it had the square body manifolds in it. So I still have to cut and reweld the exhaust pipe to make it mate slightly different exhaust manifold. The donut gaskets were shot as well.
Too late to make noise cutting pipe, and have to get pulley puller for the driver side manifold to come off.

And some more random work on this thing. Had trans mount and trans rear seal replaced. Replaced oil cooler lines and made a trail of oil before figuring out that there are seals and spacers inside the adapters for the plastic hold down clips to work with.
Went for the failed heater core. It is a breeze with these trucks compared to the squares. Must have been most complained feature on the squares for gm to make it so accessable here.
