1989 V1500 Blazer. 350 TBI, 700R4, 10 bolts with 3.73 and a gov bomb out back.
I picked it up in July 22. First thing I did was oil and filter change, air filter, brake fluid change, spark plugs, wires and cap, rotor and differentials oil changed. I’ve been lurking the forum since I got it. Fantastic amounts of info. I’m 20 and limited experience. So now I will have some questions coming up and will look here for guidance.
Over the past weekend I was cleaning up the underside to do some chassis paint and fluid film. I found that the rear leaf spring front hanger bolt did not have a nut on it!
that kinda freaked me out and I ordered up a new suspension kit and steering components. I’m not sure what all hacks the previous owner may have done. So thinking my safety first i need to go through suspension, steering And why not just replace everything. The brakes appear to be ok.
looking forward to getting my hands dirty and making this my truck. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
