Paint for farm machines is pretty cheap and holds up well to the sun and is really sturdy. You can get it in many colors and you can paint it without primer and on light rust. It costs little more like 80$ for a truck.

I have and It's just a quick fix Uv protection is ,,, well Nill. I have heard of a clear coat that can be applied. A in expensive single stage would be a better choice. You may get set back $150 to 2 hundred dollars 2 part paint. Check with your Local Body Suppy House or online You will be much happier. but It can be done, Not a great gloss from the in expensive paints. Good luck!
