Looking at the LMC catalog they only list the air hose connection from the air cleaner to the front grill for trucks up to 1986. My 1987 is the first of the TBI injection engines, anybody know what is different? The LMC 1986 part number is 38-4359.

My truck has a 2" cowl hood...is there a setup to connect the air cleaner to the hood?

I tried a drier vent hose but it is too small, I could probably cram it up inside the adapter but it won't go over the outside like it should.

What does your air cleaner look like?

This is what the TBI 87s I’ve been around look like:

That 90 deg part next to the air cleaner must be what I'm looking for. I have the short acordian piece, and thought that went on the air cleaner. Thanks for the pic I now see it goes on the front radiator support.

Do you know where I can buy that other piece?

The first 90deg bend is integral to the air cleaner assembly. The second bend in the accordion is also one piece. Check Ebay, I bet you can find what you need there if you don't have a nearby yard to check.

Ebay was a bust...could only find a few very high priced ones off a G10 van...not the same.

This is my air cleaner housing and the accordion piece that came with this truck may not be right. It is only about a foot long and either fits onto the round adapter on the radiator support or the oval entry of the air cleaner housing.

Someone here I think was 3d printing an adapter for those air cleaners.
