Depending on who did the engine, that alone is worth the $1000. I bought my 85 K1500 that way. Less than 10K on the GMPP crate engine, less than 500 miles on the new Eddy intake, Carb and Headers, which is why he blew the trans. He didn't hook up the TV cable to the new Carb Linkage and burnt up the 3-4 clutch pack. I bought that truck for $500 and they put a brand new battery in it right in front of me to get it to start up. They had tried to fire it up while I was on the way there. Ran to Wally World real quick and bought a battery. He also gave me the $110 receipt for the battery he had just bought. I almost felt like a thief on that deal. Put a Th350 in it, drove it for just over a year daily, then sold it for $2500 IIRC to save my house at the time.
