1986 ECM control torque convertor lockup?

I have an 1986 K10 California emissions crap. Does anybody know if the ECM controls the torque convertor lockup? It is the horrible year that has the electronic Carberator. Also has cruise control. thank you

Look at the wires coming out of the transmission-(700r4) If one of them is Purple I believe it uses the ECM.

Its either that, or Manifold Vacuum referenced lockup.

One wire goes to ground, the other to the break switch.

Add a ground and see if it works?
