I’m looking at this 1985 K10 in really good shape body wise with no rust but the steering box is going out and the A/C isn’t working right now and It needs new shocks pretty soon but other than that it looks really nice. Engine and trans were rebuilt 10K miles ago and it’s got new tires and a new paint job. Do y’all think 14K is a good price? I’m new to these types of trucks and I don’t want to pay too much for something like that, thanks.

Have any pics? Or a link? If everything is new with the exception of the steering box and a/c then 14k may not be too bad. Hard to say without actually seeing the condition of it

This is the only one I have right now but the whole exterior is in the same condition pretty much.

If interior is original, basically new engine and trans. and everything else checks out then yeah, I could absolutely see it being worth 14k. It’s a sellers market for these trucks and people can ask for anything from 12-20k for trucks like that.

A few things to check if the seller allows it.

Check for rust under carpet
Check rear driveshaft play. Check for harsh engagement into drive/reverse
Check cab corners
Check for frame damage. Most likely front end where the frame bends up to under rear if front leaf springs
Check fluids

Good luck!

Fluids are all good, frame is good and no rust on main body, I’ll check under the carpet and driveshaft, thanks.

If the rest of the truck is as shiny and new looking as that one picture and it hasn’t been patched up from rust, and it’s not a hack job in any way, $14k doesn’t seem too bad actually.
