Also, I have dual electric fans on both my 2011 and 1980 trucks. The 1980 cools so well that it almost never gets up near operating temp.. even with a 195 thermostat in it. It has the 97 K2500 thick core 454 Radiator in it with 2009 K2500 dual electric fans on it. The low speed fan mode is triggered by the AC being turned on and the high speed fan is triggered by a temp switch in the passenger side head at 210 degrees. If I am sitting stationary, in 100 degree heat, for more than 5-10 minutes, the high speed fan will kick on and pull the temps down low enough for them to kick back off in about 10-15 seconds. That is if the AC isn't on. The low speed setting is enough to keep it from running hot 99% of the time.
