Been on here for awhile and realized I hadn't introduced my ride. Quite a long story but the short version is purchased last from the original family. It was a father owed, he than passed away and gave it to his son. All stock 81 Silverado, 305 / 350 combo when he got it and the performance bug bit him and he built a 383 stroker, 4:10 gears and then pretty much parked it in 2012 as the engine builder had passed away. I have been always interested in it and finally April 2024 he said please come get this as it was going to sit in the garage and die there. Although it didn't die there, the first trip revealed that there was a problem in the valve train he had warned me about. So after a cam replacement, this is how it is today (pictures are from last summer). I am going to start a build thread shortly so I will post more on that later. Love this site, been reading lots and I appreciate everyone's future help on this truck.
