Anybody know a vendor selling a power door lock switch for 1981 truck? LMC doesn't have it and Rockauto lists a door switch but it's an error. What Rockauto shows as a door lock switch is really a window switch.

I'm not sure I know the difference between an 81 and 82.
I bought my 87 ones on Ebay. Dorman. Cheap as hell.

Hey Dylan, Thanks for your reply. There is a design difference/change between the '81 and later years, also the mounting. I've got the door torn apart right now replacing the window motor so while I've got it apart, I'd like to get the correct switch installed. Right now, I've got a later year switch that works but because of the change in design mount it slides around in the opening.

Should be a plastic lock switch for 81 and stainless window switch. 1981 was kind of a bastard year for power windows/locks.

Hey Jabin.....Thanks for your reply and info. Yea, this '81 is a nightmare. The brakes are '80 and it's such a mishmash combination of metric and sae bolts/nuts/fasteners makes you crazy trying to work on it. Another member calls himself frankentruck and I know exactly what the guy means......Nick.
