IIRC it was the 305 and 350 4 barrels. Our '81 Sierra shop truck had a 305 2 barrel (dual jet). So no ESC badge...but I remember seeing a lot of trucks with that badge, back in the day. I was in high school in the early 80s....

I'm not sure if it was available on the 350 or not. But I didn't think the ESC setup was available on the heavier trucks. Or on any 4x4's either.

Def not on the heavier trucks but you could get an ESC 4x4. We have the hulk of one at work, a black on red '82 that was loaded to the gills. PW/PL, tilt, cruise, rear slider, 305/700R4, 4x4, fleet shorty.

Oh that's FREAKING AWESOME!!

I am just south of you, in a city called Wichita Falls, TX. 76308.
I believe I've got the goods. Sad news is no part numbers. I've also got both of the trim pieces for sale as well if interested.

We can figure something out!

Little nuances…
I never seen any of the 80s models with a tin tailgate trim. Just the back corners.
But you might look at the Truck Shop catalog. They have as many or more intricate little chatckis and chningadera parts than most of the other classic car part suppliers.

Oh, it was NOS GM in the early 1981-82 model. I do not know what warranted the change?? Maybe it depended on the assembly plant??

My '84 K20 Silverado Fleetside had the tin trim on tailgate and when I had the truck painted it was removed and replaced with the stick-on molding. Not sure why but I sold the truck and kept the trim. Its in really good shape and like to sell it to someone that can use it here in AZ. My painter said he never saw the tin one such as mine just the stick on?? Only one of the attachments remains shown on pic. Did these originally stick to the tailgate?

Yes. But that design was only used early on. 1981-82 models. I bet your truck's tailgate had been swapped at some point in life with an early model....

Man I'd love to get my hands on one of these with the clips to stash away and maybe see if I could talk the powers that be to repop them
I've got the trim. Sold the clips to BadBowtie. Very simple design on the clips though.
