I have a 79 K 20 that I am replacing almost everything under and on it
I had mis matched rears and replaced the rear differential, the one in it was hacked up pretty bad, I bought a 14 bolt from a 92 suburban to put in it
Rear is in and everything looks peachy until I went to put in my new brake cables
Heres where the fun began. the 92 backing plates are made for a snap in cable, so I ordered cables for a 92 but they are longer and dont fit in the frame brackets. Do anyone know of a year that may over lap and use the snap in at one end and the retainer clip at the frame end?
Is it as simple as swapping the backing plates Oh and just in case its had 13" x 2.5" shoes
Any one know what year did GM change them and what will interchange with them or where I can get a set of backing plates
Thanks in Advance
