1977 Chevy k20 driveline issues? Driveshaft doesn’t even turn?!

so i Bought myself another square been sitting for awhile for about 3 years just got it running changed all the fluids and all put it in gear nothing tried all the gears nothing the driveshaft wasn’t even spinning so I thought the t case which it’s stuck any clues on how to free this up? Will post pics if needed.

Is it automatic or manual? Why was it parked? What transfer case? Info man. Lol ... is the transfer case in neutral? Does it make noise when in gear?

Automatic and the original owner died and wife sold it it has an NP205 and I can’t tell if the t case is in neutral it’s stuck it makes no noises or grinding and I’ve noticed when I moved it pulling with my truck the rear tires do not spin?

Try getting under the wehicle, remove the T~Case shift rod links and see if the shafts will move inwards or outwards.

Based on the info I have, GM did not start using the NP205 with automatics until 1980. Are you sure it does not have an NP203?

I do not know if it means anything for years but the serial number on the one I have setting here on the floor says 5 15 73
Would that be the date of manufacure, it come from behind a turbo 350.

Pictures posted in another thread, the truck actually has an NP203.

There's more to the info you have though. The 205 was paired with the TH350 for '73 and prior. Also, '73-'80 4x4 trucks with an inline 6 and auto trans got the NP205, rather than the 203. '80 model year was 205 for all.

And the rear drums might just be locked up from sitting. If so, pull the wheels and whack the drums with a big hammer.

Well I’m for sure they are but I thought maybye I could break them free I mean I started it and put it in gear it should at least do something shouldn’t it.
