1976 GMC Jimmy thing

Always wanted an old squarebody. When my wife decided she wanted something new, I sold my 05 Tahoe and took her 2013 Terrain. I had been searching FB marketplace, eBay motors, and CL for about a year. I looked at a few in person, but nothing screamed buy me. I found an 88 Suburban 2500 I loved, but the seller would never answer or return calls/messages. I had kinda given up when my wife shared one a college friend was selling. I went to look at it and it was priced perfect. I was pretty much sold when I pulled in the driveway of his house. Of course it needs some work, but I wanted something I could fix in my garage without a computer! So far I’ve only cleaned it inside and out and replaced some old ground straps. Gotta figure out the turn signals so I can drive it a bit to and from work and be legal.

That’s great! I had a 1977 Jimmy, my first square body. It was a “regular fuel truck, made with out a back seat, 350 4 speed with the granny low . It was a great truck in a weak moment I sold it to my uncle many years ago.
