I have a 1974 3/4 ton custom deluxe long bed automatic with a 350. i have a holley 750 and 850 carb i dont know which one ill use yet, alum summit intake, vortec heads, MSD ignition, 90s distributor with blaster 2 coil, b&m shift kit in a th350, right now i have 373 gears thinking about switching to 488s but im trying the 373s first. i also have a 3K stall i haven't installed yet. the reason im posting is because i dont know what size cam to run, im thinking i need something with kinda low rpm range to satisfy the weight of my truck but i still want it to have a high rpm in the top end of power band. i currently have a summit cam its a .450/ .450 lift and i think 274/ 274 duration. so what size cam would be best for bean field racing and what else do you think i could do to improve performance? keep in mind, this is a budget build. thanks!

Around here, in bean field racing we use derby cars with mostly stock drivetrains. No sense in pouring money into something to destroy.

Bean field racing around here is like drag racing for 4x4s that takes place in a bean field that's already been cut

Sounds like the 4x4 sand drags around here. They call it sand drags even if there's no sand lol. Yesterday it was just turned red clay.
