I brought this back from Utah about 3 years ago. My Dad bought in 1987 to haul his camper. It is actually an old Forest Service truck that the guy who bought it from the government scuffed and sprayed it with an awful brown. We used it as is until Dad bought a '93 K3500 (that I have now). It sat in his yard and then garage for 10+ years when he offered it to me. I have been slowly working on it as time allows. I have stripped most of the brown off with oven cleaner, sanding, and elbow grease. I have tried to preserve as much of the original green as I can but it has been a losing battle. The truck is actually very solid with just a couple of rust perforations in the door corners. I hope to have it to a point that I can drive it around the pasture by the end of this year. Not sure the plans but I am keeping it as stock as possible at this point. Truck is very basic, the only options are the 327 (still has the original engine), TH400 (original as well), and heavy springs.
Couple of pics of it on the trailer and how it looks right now. And I threw in a shot of the 1993 K3500.
