Aw man, that means my memories from 45 years ago are not entirely accurate. It must have been a 289 car. Definitely wasn't a 352. And it was certainly a 2bbl car. Always had choke pull-off issues.

Either way, good memories and a cool car. The Galaxies are just cool no matter what.

I could certainly be mistaken but can't remember seeing a Cleveland or Windsor based 351 in anything older than 69. Have seen small block 289/302 and FE engines. Also my father had a 66 Ford F250 with a 352 so they were available in that model.

The engine code for the Ford 351 Windsor is 351W. The 351 Windsor is a 90 degree V8 engine that was produced by Ford Motor Company from 1969 to 1996. It's also known as the 5.8 liter engine because it displaces 351 cubic inches per stroke of all eight cylinders. The name "Windsor" comes from the Ford casting plant in Windsor, Ontario, where the engine was produced.

Flathead, Y-block, Lincoln flathead(337), Lincoln Y-block, MEL, FE, FT, small block, Windsor, Cleveland, 385, triton, mod motor, plenty of others I probably forgot.

GM and Chrysler much easier.

What, you mean putting coil springs on top the upper control arms and having giant shock towers that all crack isn’t the way to do it??

And on the trucks the twin I bean and twin traction beam setups.

Don't get me started on Twin Traction Beam BS. My buddy in college had a '96 Bronco on 35s and there was no keeping alignment on that thing

Pop has told me stories of doing those and the owner of the vehicle coming in and seeing the front axle bent in an exaggerated way and freaking out about it. Pop would just tell them that's how it's done.

Yup. bend 'em past the degree you want them and let them spring back..........just hope you went far enough......BUT not too far ....also hope like he!! nothing pops while the pressure is on......kinda like @TotalyHucked with the press!!!! Never know when things are gonna let go.....

Yeah, but that's all the Ford brands though. You toss all of GM's V8's into one group and it's just as confusing to people who aren't as familiar. How many kinds of 350's and 455's, etc.

Lol, good point. And I guess the 351 thing is confusing too. Windsor, Cleveland and Modified all from roughly the same time period.
