Not rich just used to hand-me-downs. That car was passed down from my oldest sister to my mom to one of my older brothers. He traded it in on a brand new 1982 Ford EXP.

First car I ever drove was a 1966 Galaxie 500. White two door red interior 351 V8 Cruise-o-matic Trans. It was the family "extra car".
probably a 352?

Another one of those never will happen would be a Coyote V8 conversion in a 1957 Ford Ranchwagon with a newer chassis. Basically a new car under an old body. Parents owned one when I was young. Am getting to old start a project that large now.

Nope. Ford offered both the 351 and 352 among many engines for the 1966 Galaxie. Everything from straight 6 to a 428 (badged as a "7 Litre". The 352 was a Big Block (FE) engine. The 351 was a small block.

The 351 was introduced in 1969, so, no, there was not an option of a 351 in 1966. I've attached the engine codes offered for the 66 Galaxie.

Aw man, that means my memories from 45 years ago are not entirely accurate. It must have been a 289 car. Definitely wasn't a 352. And it was certainly a 2bbl car. Always had choke pull-off issues.
