In earlier generations of trucks, I believe so. I've never seen any on a 70's truck, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was an option.

Ok, didn’t think so, but… The donor ‘77 we bought then later sold is a K25 by VIN and code sheet. But it has six lug axles. I assumed someone swapped the 1/2 ton gear in at some point, for whatever reason, but the guy who bought it was curious if it could be original, but an oddball.
