You'll need an 8 lug version caliper mounting bracket. The 8 lug rotor is larger and the caliper mount will move the caliper out farther to match. Using the larger piston calipers from the high gvw 3/4T option (jb7) will help with braking too. And since you'll have plenty of rear brake no matter what you do, the bigger front caliper is going to be good idea.

For an 8 lug front, the hardest part to source will be the backing plate. No known aftermarket repops at this time.
You’ll need a large bearing spindle and bearings/seals, rotor/hub. Basically you’ll need the parts for a 3/4 ton.
Your existing 1/2 ton locking hubs will fit the 3/4 ton.

No, the 8 lug caliper bracket is physically bigger.

Reread the posts from above. You are not following what has been put down.

A Dana 44 can be a small bearing (6lug) 1/2 ton or a large bearing (8lug) 3/4 ton.

You can convert your existing 1/2 to a 3/4 ton by reading the posts above.

There is many more parts than just the lug studs…….

I would do a 60 if I can afford it

I see 44s for pretty cheap already with the 4:10s I’m looking for

Can anyone tell what kind of diff this is? Open? locker? They say it’s hub to hub 8 lug. $400 plus $800 shipping to my house
