Don't ya ******* hate that ****! Bastards!!!!

The only people I gotta worry about is the garbage I call my cousins next door, most they've stolen from me is my 50ft drop cord, so I went to the barn and took their 100ft. Lol

It's ******** alright. Years ago I had to steal back my own shovel because of my cousin's dad that stole it from me.

The solution is simple you see... Make it big and heavy enough even if they unbolt it, it'll fall on them and crush them! Lol

Have any more photos of it? Any issues with leaks, sloppy bearings, etc.? My truck is in Plymouth, NC. It would be about an 8-hour round trip but I may pick it up from you. You said it has the government locker? I thought those trucks had 4.56 gears.

Bought it off of Craigslist, don't know about leaks, but the case was dry as a bone, and when I popped the diff cover, fluid poured out.

3.73 geared.
factory option G80 posi gov lock thing.
The piece of **** locker that always blows up that GM put in most full sizes.

While that's true about the G80 Gov-Lok, it is a bit stronger and does hold up better in the Full Floaters. It'll probably stand up to standard abuse.

It's to bad it's a weak system because it's really a good working system when it's not broke. Probably one of the best for pulling a boat out of the water on a slick boat launch ramp. The other drawback is it's only locked up til about 25mph and then it lets loose. So to use one for racing and heating up your tires, it's not the one you'd want either but to pulling boats out of the water, driving through a slick pasture, getting up a snow covered slopped driveway they're pretty good.

Yep, that's a 3.73 set of gears from March of 1975, and does appear to be a G80 Gov Lock carrier.

Since PO said it came from a 3/4 Ton, I assumed it to be a camper special.

Not really, could be. All 3/4 tons back in 75 and 76 got the 14b Full Float whether it was small block or big block, camper special or not didn't matter. It was in the early 80's that small blocks got the 14b Semi Float and Big Blocks got the 14b Full Float.
