Need to replace rubber fuel lines on top of both tanks….

Loosely cover tank(s) with a wet blanket underneath, to avoid sparks hitting any tanks after pumping out as much fuel as possible. Disconnect hose(s) from filler tube(s) with zip cutter (WEAR PPE GLOVES AND GOGGLES) Plasma cut the bolts from underneath. This should take approximately 6 seconds...

Steering Column needs to be rebuild

I have a problem. I have a 1975 K20, factory power steering, with NO TILT COLUMN. I found the column at LMC. They list two. I am getting the paintable one, for floor column shift. SM465 I've looked everywhere to see which is the correct part between these two (BELOW) for my truck. This is...

    Throttle cable way too long

Luckily the truck was NEVER bent. If it was, I couldn't do it.

    Throttle cable way too long

I think this will work............Once I get into it deeper. There may have to be some modifications ,but with fabrications I think it can be done with an LMC bed kit. I'm talking about the supports etc. I think the big secret is to go slow. Square everything up. Whatya think bucket?

    Throttle cable way too long

Thanks for that info. I have an old friend that is an excellent "fabricator". As well, I'll check salvage yards. Even if I can get old rusted ones, we can 're make' them. We'll get 'er done. Somehow.

    Throttle cable way too long

But, as I cruise the salvage yards in Texas, I will check and if they do have a wood bed, I'll snag the supports just in case.

    Throttle cable way too long

I spoke at length with LMC and ordered all new supports ext. to put the wood bed on. Looks like everything is there.

K20 upgrades. EDELBROCK AVS II. Why so negative ?

Never had an issue with an Edelbrock carb. Quadrajets are great carbs when set up right. Don't care much for Holleys though. To each their own. Off subject, but does ANYONE know what the roads are like from Montana straight down the middle to Texas? Lots of snow? Ice? Usually once I get...

Need to replace rubber fuel lines on top of both tanks….

Personally, I'd raise the bed (It's 6 bolts I THINK), then while you're replacing hoses and sending units (if needed), do the rear cab mounts at the same time. Go polyurethane body mount bushings. Tightens everything up good.** Check your grounds too**. Fixes a lot of possible issues when you...

Big block running hot. Can’t figure out the issue

I'd start with checking rad first for circulation or any kind of blockage. Then check thermostat to make sure it opens. Even NEW thermostats are DOA on arrival.

    Long tube headers/dual exhaust question

Yeah, I had some flows on years ago and the neighbors hated me. LOL Finally could afford a set of Borla ProsXS and very happy with the sound. Not cheap though!
