    I am beginning to reassemble my 78 C15. It came with manual steering and breaks. I did not tear down the front end myself. I noticed the lack of a sway bar or stabilizer bar. Is this normal for manual steering or is it just that it is missing?

    4 Link coil over talk!

    What coilovers did you end up getting? I am at that point on my build. I installed a 4-link and am moving the gas tank to the rear. All I can come up with from the internet so far is 12" with 5" travel and 230lb coils. Mine is factory ride height. 78GMC C15

    Any advice as to what coil overs to run. Looking like 12" at ride height with 5" of travel to bump stops. I am moving the fuel tank to the rear. 78 K15 short bed, step side. Mostly trying to find out what weight spring. 230lbs sound about right?

    I am looking at one now, actually. It is pre 1988 from a 4x2. Looks like 10 spline. Have to do some research about bell housing, yoke and clutch compatibility. I have an 11" clutch from the old one.

    Great info / suggestions. I am currently looking at the T56 or TKO / TKX. I am not building just to break. Now I am down another rabbit hole. I can find used T56 out of corvettes but, that comes with a whole different set of issues. Anyway, I'll get there. Thanks again!

    I am under the impression that it was never going to last. I must admit, I do not know what a 30TT is. If it is like the one that came in the truck, I already resigned to get rid of it for the Muncie HD (M13). However, I get mixed responses as to the likelihood of that one standing up as well.

    I am very interested in a 4 link or coil over kit for my 78. Everything I found will lower the truck. I am a little too old school to appreciate the whole dropped with 24's genre. I want the performance at close to factory ride height. Does anybody have any suggestions?
