1974 c10 didn’t start-fuel problem?

Got my 74 c10 from my uncle this summer. Rebuilt the carburetor and replaced old hoses/belts/fluids. Drove it after that and it died a few miles down the road. Fuel was low so put 5 gal in each tank. No go. Put 5 more gal in each tank and it started. Looks like I have to clear a blockage in the fuel line from the tank-what do you guys think? What is the best way to get the shop manual for this truck? Do any of you recommend a particular parts supplier?

Haven't had any luck with local parts stores. Mostly only use them for fluids. I primarily buy from Rock auto for normal replacement items. Have to watch shipping charges but do like the selection.

If you’re really after a paper repair manual, I’d suggest a library? Idk if they still have em. That’s where I’d find one back in the day.
I have manuals that cover your truck model but they’re buried somewhere.
That said, start at the carb and work your way back, imo.
Filter/screen on carb clear?
Fuel pump working like it should (test with a hose and gas can)?
Switch and valve working? Which tank are you pulling from? Quit filling the tanks until you fix the problem. 5 gal is more than enough. But heavy tanks are harder to drop.
Fuel pickup in tank(s) not blocked?
If you get to needing to work on the tanks/ senders/fuel pickups, I might suggest just removing the truck bed for ease of access. Dropping tanks and disconnecting/re-connecting hoses and wire is a challenge.

Re-reading your post, so it runs now with a half tank of fuel?
Do you not know which tank is being pulled from? Does it switch tanks on command? Fuel gauge working?
Honestly the repairs themselves whatever may be the problem, are fairly straightforward. Idk what diagnosis information you may get from a repair manual. Sounds like that’s what you’re after.
If you’re after diagnostic advice, you have to be clear what is and isn’t working, which is unclear.
