Is this fender original or aftermarket?

Here's an update: I just got my AMD fender and it actually has the 8 nuts in the front that are pressed/staked in similar to the original. Here's a few pics of the new one and the original. It fits pretty good, but I'll have to "body work" the gap at the door to fender, it's good at the top...

Repop 73-79 front fenders - Best brand?

I see this is a few months old, but I'm fixing to order a drivers side AMD for my 78. I bought one from Holley a while back and the outside shell was the same thickness as the original, but the inside panel of the fender was about .010 thinner. Not a show stopper but it was not even close to...

Is this fender original or aftermarket?

73-78 repro has not been out that long. I bought one from Holley, it looks nice and is not flimsy but I can't try the fit until I get the cab back on the frame and mount the fenders, support, etc.

Is this fender original or aftermarket?

Do you know how to identify an OEM hood from aftermarket? I don't see any info on this. I see they are reproducing the smooth front 73-78 hood now, which is what I'm looking for. I saw and like your write-up regarding fenders, just wondering if you know how to distinguish the hoods. Thanks.

Wanted: Rust free drivers fender for 73-80. North Central Texas/Southern OK area.

Yea, I may try one and see how it fits if I don't find a good original one soon. I can get to Summit in an hour. Thanks.

That would be fine if we weren't that far apart. So far all I got is two private messages that were scam attempts.

Is this fender original or aftermarket?

Thanks, I was figuring it was aftermarket. I wish I knew that before I blasted and primed it but oh well. I've heard of the GM stamp but even my originals don't have it unless I'm just not seeing it. We've had the truck since new so I do know they are original. Where do I find the thread you...

    Proportion valve question

It's been bad since the mid 90's ha, so I have to buy one anyhow. I was wondering how the Vette Master bolted on but I see now they are a bolt on.

Is this fender original or aftermarket?

It's really not that big of a deal, but a friend gave me a drivers side fender over 20 years ago and I stored it away. It "appeared" to be an original since I blasted what seemed like the original paint off down to the metal and sprayed it with epoxy. I'm just now getting around to fitting it...

    Proportion valve question

Thanks much again for the reply and info, sounds good. Are you running the factory truck booster? Mine will sit factory height (level) with a larger tire in the rear also. I have the kit that uses 76 Eldorado calipers and Astro van front rotors for the rear. I appreciate the part numbers...

    Proportion valve question

What year C3 fits? I searched C3 Vette and it shows they ran from 1967 to 1982. Thanks.

    Proportion valve question

Thanks much for the reply and info. How does it do when you get down on them hard? Do you know the difference between the PV72 and the PV4? Both show the same line sizes and disc/disc. Maybe different pressures? I searched for several hours and all I found was somebody that said they used...

    Proportion valve question

Now I'm seeing the PV2 valve is for disc/drum and the PV4 or PV72 are both being used but I'm trying to find out the difference.

    Proportion valve question

I'm getting ready to blast and paint my frame for my 78 C10 2wd. I want to do all the brake lines while everything is easy to get to. I have a rear disc set up I'll be using and I'm unsure of what direct "bolt on" proportion valve and booster to use. I have done a lot of research already and...

To remove or not to paint frame?

Lego, on your second pic from the top, what are those two plates on the floor? I see them bolted on in your top pic. Are those just for lifting? Thanks.

To remove or not to paint frame?

After seeing your pics it's coming out today,ha. May as well since I can blast it at home like I did the cab and all the other parts. If I don't do it I'll regret it later even if you can't tell whether or not it's been out, but I'll know.

To remove or not to paint frame?

This one has three bolts on each side. The support underneath the engine. I'm building it as show and light driving but no mirrors on the floor or anything like that. Just local shows.

To remove or not to paint frame?

Hello, I'm not sure if I should have posted this in the paint and body section but since it's suspension I figured I'd start here. I'm fixing to sand blast and paint my frame for my 78 2wd. My question is I'm not sure if I should remove the lower front frame cross piece that's under the...

    hood cable broken

I'm interested as well since I'm putting a cable latch on my non cable truck. I have all the components and have been thinking of rigging something up to make opening easy in case the cable breaks.

    Body to frame webbing??

Thanks much! That's exactly what I thought. This truck never squeaked so It'll go back like it was without "webbing".
