Is it possible to get this?????

If you have never done it, utilize a Google image search. That is one of the first things I do. Take a screen shot and upload it to Google search. You will see how many websites are using the exact same photo. I work in law enforcement and recently had a guy who sent almost 20 grand to a...

    Shop heater

I have helped and electricion friend of mine install several mini splits lately and everybody loves them. They are efficient for electric heat and the new ones are very quiet. I have a wood stove in my insulated 30x40 pole barn. No gas at my place and our house is total electric. My bill is...

    LED Shop Lights That Last??

I am not yet a believer in the LED light bulb industry. I bought my house in 2012 and all the can lights were the CFL bulbs. after moving in I started replacing them with LED bulbs, as they CFL's went out. Back then the LEDs were more money than they are today and I didn't want to just replace...

Help identify strange noise at Highway speed

Doesn't sound the same but a couple years ago I was driving down the road when I truck pulled along side of me. All the sudden I heard a loud noise I thought was a turbo winding up. I assumed it was the other vehicle and as the other vehicle passed by me I realized it was me. I pulled off real...

Trying to identify this color of blue

I know its a long shot, but a lot of those magazines have the vehicle owners inside somewhere. You might be able to track them down, it may or may not be a stock paint color.

Edelbrock carbs on a 350 sm blk

I used to have an older small block Mopar with an EB carb and my 77 K20 350 currently has one as well. I have no complaints with either one. I am not real mechanically inclined and both were basically plug and play. A few adjustments out of the box. I can't remember exactly when I had the...

    Blackout

Mine is not completely blacked out but more than most. Only real change I made was buying an aluminum tube style grill. I had the stock one prepped and painted but after a couple years the paint on the plastic started chipping and pealing off.

never jerk a stuck truck with a chain

I had a different issue. I did use a chain to pull a guy out who was stuck in a snow drift. We tried to dig first and just couldn't get it so I was tugging on him for quite some time and did yank him a few times. After a while my truck started running really rough and died. At first I thought...

    Headlights flickering...

Thanks, I'll still go ahead and try a new switch, then have one of my electrician buddy's help me with a relay.

    Headlights flickering...

I am assuming the newer made switches are designed to handle the extra current drawn by the newer bulbs...

    Headlights flickering...

First off, I probably know and understand less about wiring than anyone on this board, LOL... I replaced all 4 headlights in my K 20 (it started life as a 77 but has an 86 body on it.). The headlights had been in it for 15 years and a couple were burnt out. I just went with stock replacements...

    Rebuilding my dash pad.

This is a long video but this guy is a true pro and makes an art look easy. I thought if I could get mine to look 40% as good as his I would be happy. Couldn't get close so I bought an aftermarket replacement.

May get flamed for this but the only vettes I like are the old 60's models and the new mid engine models.

Time for new shocks. Look at these!

My current 3/4 ton long bed is my first ever square body. I've had it for about 20 years now and when I bought it I put new shocks on it a couple weeks after getting it home. The shocks that were on it were complete toast. I could turn it up and down and the shock would slide in and out...

9th Annual Square Body Farm Gathering Richmond In

Yeah, the weather held off, it was a little warm around here but other than that no issues. We've had some pretty bad storms and tornado's in these parts the last few weeks.

Despite living 30 miles west of there I will/have not been able to make it. Had to work yesterday and do some work for our school in the afternoon. Back to the school this morning and my son is playing in a golf tournament in about an hour. Hopefully next year I can bring my truck over... I...

I think this show in RIchmond is coming up again next weekend. I might try to make it over as I only live about 35 minutes from there. I have to see what my schedule looks like next weekend.

Any Tricks for stuck oil filter ?

I've always heard people say the screwdriver thing, but I always figured if it was tight enough a wrench wouldn't get it off, the screw driver would just cut through the metal. I'm surprised they are tough enough to handle that....

Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

When I bought my K20 used it had come from the factory with auto locking hubs, however the owner had switched them out for manual hubs. A good friend of mine who is a mechanic said "lets see if they did this right". I am not a mechanic and don't remember what he said (its been 20 years ago)...
