    Sunroof Swap

    I believe all sunroofs were dealer/aftermarket adds, not factory options. I had a pop top sunroof in my old k5. Should be able to do, as long as it doesnt go into the second row. The suburbans roof raises behind the front doors and the crewcab does not.

    Fair price to switch a V10 front and rear diffs to 373 from 308 gears

    You could likely find a set of axles with 3.73’s already in then from factory for less than $500 for the set. Then pay to have them swapped it. Should be much cheaper route. Can swap your brakes onto the new axles if they are better than the axles you find. Just a thought.

    Very cool. I’m thinking about this, as it gives the flexibility of a suburban (less the 3rd row) when installed on shortbed crewcab that I’m building. I’m planning on a soft tonneau for daily use, but this would be great to bolt on for road trips when necessary. Bump for you

    What sort of signal do they need? I do recall reading that somewhere. I’m planning on a newer motor/trans into the truck, so hopefully that will make things easier. Wondering if something like the cat delete o2 simulator idea would work to feed the signal (the concept, not them specifically)

    1973-1980 Tailgate Trim

    The narrow band doesnt fit as well on the newer tailgates, shape of recess is slightly different. You really want a 70’s tailgate for the thin band to fit properly. Personally I very much lrefer the thin band, and will be looking to add to my build, once I find a clean tailgate

    I think 75 and 80 will have the same hose fittings on the steering gear, i believe in 81 they went to bubble flare w/ oring vs prior was double flare.     Are locking hubs factory or personal add on?

    Those are external hubs for the ‘big hub’ d44’s from mid 70’s. Those d44’s also had the flat top knuckles. Not sure if dials will swap between external and the newer internal locking hub sets, but the whole units themselves will not.
