I don't remember. But I probably swapped them. I don't recall any issues with pedal resistance.

My truck is 2wd, gearbox. No issues with the steering. My pump does NOT have the return for hydroboost on it.

Summit racing part # 20-8704F I installed the pump to the bracket, pulley to pump, bracket to engine. In that order. Hoses should be able to be installed/removed with the engine in the truck. If not, you'll never be able to change the pump in the future.

    Body work on my '86

Paint job came out great!!! There were a few C10's this time last year at the 109 U Pull It just south of I-40 if you are looking for grill pieces. I got both fenders, inner fenders, and a header panel from a truck there. They seem to keep older vehicles around there compared to the other yards...

A/C system is looking good. Can't wait to see what the truck looks like after it gets back from the paint shop.

Truck looks like it is coming along great with the paint job. That primer is soooo smooth after all the sanding!! I guess that's why alot of people end up riding around with primer a while before they throw the paint on it.

I didn't have space for a donor vehicle at the time but that is definitely recommended! My cost could have been alot lower to get up and going with a working donor.

I second that motion!! Would I do another LS build/swap. Definitely yes. I took a chance on the transmission and installed it without rebuilding but it looked clean when I dropped the pan and it worked out fine. So that could have been an additional cost in addition to what I already spent to...

No problem. Good luck with everything! I do have final numbers!!! I am around $5,500 with me doing all the labor. That is not including any of the special tools I had to purchase. See if you can open this spreadsheet online with the engine/trans/fuel parts...

Thanks. For the transmission, i'm using the factory linkage. I originally had a Lokar but with it, the gear shifter was moving at full throttle due to engine torque. I think that was happening because the lokar is a solid rod. The factory linkage has more pivot points. To hook the factory...

    Best Front-end Rebuild Kits

I used A/C delco professional grade parts on my front end. I used energy suspension bushings for the upper/lower control arms. Pain to change out but happy with the results.

Youtube tuner for the win! For the VSS, we just used the tire size to get the number. I'm glad I re-did the front suspension while I had that smaller 4.3L engine in. To anyone that is planning on LS swapping their truck, if you have the time and resources, make sure all the important...

Here is a picture of the newer pedal installed. It feels correct for the truck. For my gauges, I'm using a ScanGauge II. Picked it up locally at AutoZone and it just plugs into the OBD II port. I got the speedometer set to match my GPS and it is dead on accurate.

So the fabbed up pedal I made was getting on my nerves. I decided to follow others advice here and get the mid 90's 6.5 diesel pedal. Here are some pictures of the pedal and the plug from my DBW pedal that goes into it. There are two modifications that you must do to the white plug in order...

    Ls swap question

The guy that runs the LT1swap.com website flashes PCM's to delete VATS. http://www.lt1swap.com/programming.htm

I was able to get my truck professionally tuned yesterday. The tune came out great!! I couldn't be happier. I've been out driving around all morning with no issues. During some of our WOT pulls, I noticed that the shifter arm was moving. I think this was due to me using a lokar linkage...

Ok. Thanks. I will have to see if I can find an original cruise connector.

Nice. Were you able to find a 2 pin connector for the cruise side? I'm using individual spade terminals now but i'd rather have a real connector.

    5.3 LM7 going in my 87

I got my brake wired to send +12v to the TCC today. Since my truck did not have cruise control, I only had a 2 terminal switch. Switched over to a 4 terminal switch and wired the additional 2 terminals to send +12v to the PCM when the brake is not applied. Pic contains my old switch up top and...
