    I have installed several lockup controllers from Bowler Performance transmissions. Thats all you would need electronic wise. Your driveshaft would need to be shortened as the 700r4 is about 2.5 inches longer. Also crossmember would have to be relocated.

    You would have to get an nv4500 out of a chevy. My trans came out of a 1994 chevy pickup. It had a 241c transfer case bolted on to it. The whole thing will be a little longer too. Good luck!!! Let us know if you need help

    If I remember right, third gear is the forward clutch drum. You very well may have a blown lip seal that is preventing the clutch from engaging. Your governor is also the key. If it mics out less than .799 then your third gear won't engage. I can help you more if you need it. Let me know.
