    Found my missing ATF, whole two liters of it - In transfer case. It gushed out through the filler plug like it was a drain plug. I will keep an eye on oil levels to see at what rate ATF moves from transmission to the transfer case.

    Side markers, you mean the front ones? Front ones use a trick of being grounded via turn signals, so that they go off when the indicator lamp turns on. By any chance you have any LED bulbs that may mess up resistances? Rear should be just connected to park lamps.

    I wonder with what is this motor paired with? Auto or manual? What rear end and wheel size? Maybe the motor is fine but it's the matter of low stall converter and tall gearing not allowing the motor to put the torque down when taking off?
