Checked the backlash of the front and then pulled the carrier out to knock the axle seals out (or in I suppose). Still not sure what is the cause of the missing pieces of the carrier. Driver's side cleaned up and painted Axle shaft seals had been replaced before. Driver's side was weeping...- legopnuematic

86 1/2 ton gears needed for 33” with new 383
Like the 2.14 ratio available in the 7.5” ten bolt axles. Pinion is almost as big as the ring gear, but I think the land speed guys like them. To the OP, with a healthy 383 that is built up some, 3.73 gears and 33” tires should be ok, but if you are in hilly terrain or will be loaded 4.10s...- legopnuematic

O2 sensor question
Does it have a plug/connector at the gauge? On the ones I have I run the connector to the gauge from the outside of the firewall to the inside. Instead of the plug at the sensor from the inside out.- legopnuematic

What have you done to your square lately??
Moved it out of the shop and into my friend's unit to make room to assemble the 4 post lift. First time I've moved it in a few months I think. Thinking I will pull the motor out soon and probably put a new pan on it and reseal it again. Maybe put some parts I've had for it for the last five...- legopnuematic

Got everything torqued and double checked, leveled it with a stick rule and laser level, within a 32nd of an inch corner to corner. @TX87R10 Looking at it, the likes after the user name is the total likes, if you hover the mouse over it, it says "This author's likes:" So its the total for all of their comments, then the thumbs up after the message is the likes on that specific comment.
