    With new tanks and socks there is no need for a filter imo. I think they put that sticker on to avoid warranty claims when people change the valve on 40+ year fuel systems and it gets stuck after short time from dirt, rust and whatever.

    If that would have happened to me I would check every single part of the brake system and replace everything that looks not 100% ok. I never had any issues with Acdelco Gold and Raybestos Element3. Is the work on remanufactured parts done in the US or are they shipped to Mexico, China, India...

    My guess is rotted away. The part that goes into the slot is not very thick, becomes brittle and brakes. Good bye bumper.

    Nope, bought the tuning kit with springs, needles and jets. First put in the springs matching the engine vacuum and from that jet and needles. I run the 500cfm version on my 350, throttle response is great, like a monkey on speed. Before you tune your carb make sure your ignition is set right...

    The AVS 2 is spread bore but advertised as square bore. The difference in bore is not as big as on the Quadrajets but I bolted mine directly to the sread bore manifold of my K5 with a 1/4" gasket. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-1906

    Welcome. How many teeth has your new flex plate? The starter has to match the flex plate. Mounting holes on the block are the same, the starter has the holes on different positions to fit the flex plate. There are starters which can be used for 153 and 168 teeth flex plates. Get a gear...

    Exhaust Question

    My K5 (350) setup is 2.25" and merge in a 3" pipe with a big muffler. Muffler is perforated tube with packing. Pulls good (as good as 260hp crate pulls :D) and has a nice deep not loud tone.

    Brake Issue

    Delco gold was ~1/3 thinner. Same with Raybestos. Bosch and Centric half and I did not order any of the cheap brake shoes. The best I could find are Dynamic friction true arc and they have significant more friction material and are riveted.

    Have the same problem on my 66 Impala. Friction material on brake shoes is only half as thick than a few years ago which contributes to this problem.

    I have the hookers on my C20...great quality and they fit like a glove. Nice casting, nice machining, all straight and they come with flanges and hardware.

    IMO trim has to be on when it's single color. With two colors and some pin stripe lines it looks ok without. I prefer trim, it just looks cool and adds detail.

    When I did the swap 203 to 205 on my K5 I had to have the front driveshaft shortened and the rear lengthened. I have a TH350 and GM corporate axles.

    I cut off the material below flange on the manifolds of my K5 to have a flat sealing surface. I used a fat flange with a flat gasket. Works great, no leaks.

    Hm, the position would match with the side trim. Maybe the original trim was adhesive and retainers at the ends that were prone to get loose. The rear corners of the precut side trims have retainers...
