    Whats your opinion these welders?

Just my opinion but I’d spend the money for a Miller or Lincoln product. They will cost more but are worth it. The Millermatic 200 would be my pick.

    E-brake options after BIG lift?

Mines the older style. I used a universal cable on both sides of the rear with the factory mounts. I adapted them to fit the factory clamp on the backing plate after cutting them to length.

I switched all my 8’ fluorescent fixtures in my shop to 8’ Lithonia LED fixtures. They weren’t cheap, but something that will last never is.. I’ve got a basement full of 4’ fluorescent fixtures that will be next.

    Fuel tank straps

Those new tank straps can be a real pain, I had to use a ratchet strap to get mine to conform so the nuts could be started. I would try to do one strap at a time without dropping the tank first.

Fresh Air vents with factory A/C?

There is no drivers vent in that era of trucks, no hole, no room due to the parking brake.

    Aftermarket seatbelt mounting question.

The ones I got from LMC had an angle bracket, it had to be drilled out to use the factory bolt. Take the belt apart and feed it through the plastic cover. Bolt both ends to the angle bracket. The bottom of the plastic cover will need to be trimmed. I need to get the right color spray for mine…

Fresh Air vents with factory A/C?

This is a ‘78… with a non-A/C kick panel installed. It is an A/C truck but the original system was trashed so it got Vintage Air. Instead of blocking the vent I installed the manual vent.

Fresh Air vents with factory A/C?

A/C trucks were vacuum controlled by Heat/A/C controls, non A/C trucks got a pull handle. No drivers side vent. LMCs site under “Interior Panels”

    Steering Correction

I’ve got the drop pitman with a 4” lift kit on my ‘78 K20, it all came together from ORD. The link is at a fairly steep angle, I haven’t gotten to drive it yet, but I’ll evaluate the steering when I do and make any changes and or adjustments then. When it come to driveshafts you can’t just...

    Eastwood Versus POR15

I’ve used POR 15 maybe 5-6 times over the years… it worked good for small rusted areas, like battery trays, etc.. I wouldn’t even consider using it on an entire frame, there are way better and less expensive paint options available.

The “Crows Foot” socket comes in handy a lot of times… Use Anti-Sieze on the threads when reassembling, don’t over tighten it and distort the flare.
