    Delay wiper questions

No changes under the hood or motor. I plugged everything in at the dash when I changed over my '78.

By the way, LED for gauges suck.

Even among 'good' LEDs, some have a very diffuse light (think flood light bulb), while some have a very focused light (like a spot light). Having ones that are very focused in instruments would give a light and dark effect, like bad back lighting on an LCD TV.

    1984 K5 Blazer Idling Rich-California Emissions-Coolant Sensor?

I've noticed that as well, but never seen it in writing. I assume it wasn't proper for an Olds or Buick to start clicking when the key was turned on.

See if the horn gets 12v when you press the button. I'll bet they are internally corroded.

Sadly, I can't provide much help. The one thing I will mention is that components can be arranged differently between different division cars of the same chassis. I'm not surprised if you find different locations listed.

Good, I'm glad you found that one. Since you had shown us the weird, interior fuse panel, I was concerned you may have not known about the other. The A-body also has a glove compartment accessed fuse panel. There is also a fuse taped to the harness, behind the fuse panel, that can only be...

Is there another fuel pump fuse under the hood, possibly in a holder, all by itself?

I don't see the bleeder above the WP in your pictures either. It's amazing to me all the variations in these, even in the same years, especially between the various chassis.

When it was redisigned to the 3100 (roller lifters, head changes, etc), the intake gaskets get worse. I don't believe these were inherently as bad. The oil pump drive shaft o-ring (formerly the distributor shaft) is a problem on both 3.1 and 3100. I have a bleeder on the thermostat side and on...

Awesome! I've got 2 of its 'schoolmarm' sisters, the A bodies in Buick form.

    Interior light, open door switch

I may be showing my age here, but if we are talking a very base model Custom, does it have door switches for the courtesy lights? I can remember when they did not.

E brake light not on when engaged

If your truck is a '73, there is no switch on the parking brake to light the light. It is only for the differential pressure of the braking system, i.e. half lost fluid. My '78 doesn't have it either. I'm not sure what year it was finally added in the trucks.

1985 Scottsdale V6 - Choke Light coming on at idle

Low oil pressure, fix the idle issue and verify the oil pressure. The oil pressure switches go bad with age too, not to be confused with the oil pressure sending unit, if you have gauges.

    Help with my 95 olds

There are plastic elbows on the back side of 3800s for the heater hose(s) that are notorious for leaking. There are some aluminum replacement available too. Even the o-rings are an issue, from what I understand...

Help, truck tries to start when I connect the battery

Welcome! This probably isn't the issue, but be aware that the ignition switch is different between tilt and non-tilt columns. The wiring is identical. The reason the switches are different is the tilt mechanism causes the switch rod to move in the opposite direction. I had to see this one for...

FINALLY installing vortec 350. Mechanical fuel pump?

On pressurizing a mechanical pump, even if it works, you run the risk of the pump diaphragm rupturing. Then it is fuel in the crankcase. This happens at times with mechanical pumps alone. I'd be afraid to try it with the crap parts we have right now, and the fuel and rubber issues.

buick 455 big block in a 1980 gmc 1500 rwd pickup

"spun a bearing on my original so popped in my second buick. the one thing i dont like about these is the oiling system. but they sure are torque monsters" The Buick oiling system left a lot to be desired, it was even worse with the harmonics and roughness when made into a 90 degree V6 back in...

    Opinions on Radiator Usability

Even by the era of ours, the baffle was still used even with the V08 heavy duty cooling option. I can't say I have seen the wider radiator used after 1979 (engine sizes decreased for 1980), but the diesels may have been an exception. My original radiator got so it would not flow air! There was...

    Opinions on Radiator Usability

Keep in mind the amount of debris that can be in a transmission cooler can be staggering. We picked up a nearly new radiator (amazing how many nearly new parts are on junked cars) for my daughters car from our U-Pull-It yard with black transmission fluid, pretty obvious why the car was...

    Opinions on Radiator Usability

My assumption is that is an original Harrison radiator. The original petcocks are pointed down (there is a matching hole in the radiator support) and were no mess to drain. I've only seen that on the originals. I don't have any original dimensions for the radiator (I replaced mine in '91 with a...

OEM air cleaner size/dimensions for 1983 GMC pickup?

FWIW... The Rochester 2G was was only available on a corporate blue ('78 - '82) 305 small block in 1978. The dual jet was standard in '79 and only 4bbls from '80 - '82. Of course, anything is possible to swap around.
