I have a 78 chevy with just standard wipers and picked up a delay switch and a little module that goes with it .My question is what does it take to make this work.Has anybody done a swap for this?
You should have everything you need. The wiper motor and harness are the same for both standard and intermittent wipers.
Currently the 6 pin connector on the harness plugs directly into the standard style switch.
The new switch/module are connected like this:

Just pull the old standard switch out of the dash, unplug it and discard (or try to sell it on eBay). Seriously, you might want to keep it on the shelf for a while until the pulse system proves dependable.
Connect the module to the switch as shown. The original harness connector plugs right into the module - just like it did with the old switch. There might be enough slack in the harness to bring the connector out through the dash opening. If so, just connect the harness to the module and mount the new switch. If not, mount the switch - with the module connected. Then, while working from under the dash, make up the harness to the module.
