You did tighten that drain plug, yes ? :happy175::happy175::happy175::happy175:

    is this normal?

That is a sign of bad spark plug wires and or bad plugs. The resistance is backing up the voltage in the form of heat and too much spark jumping around in the cap.

    1st TBI Conversion Help Needed

Almost sounds like a timing issue. Is the brown or tan with the black stripe hooked into the system ?

1987 TBI wont start, no spark, but has fuel

I believe it is tan with a black stripe, Do not remember where it is located on the V model of trucks though.

1987 TBI wont start, no spark, but has fuel

Get the timing set first then see what it does. If the misfire is still there then see what a compression test tells You. Welcome to the forum Alex.

What have you done to your square lately??

Dismantled a 203 NP T-Case to get the HI-LOW gears from it. Now have the old brown truck in the garage, pull the T-Case to get to the gears. I just in the last couple of years, about ten miles ago, installed a rebuild kit and a part time kit in the box. Never knew it jumped out of four low...

UNINSTALLED NEW GM FRONT FENDERS, WHATS THEY WORTH ?

Looked it up, appears they fit 73 to 80 years. This guy has $750.00 for one fender. I did not ever see any gold in these when I was shuffling them around. :happy175::happy175::happy175: http://cooperstrucks.com/swapmeet/c5fd83b3-8233-4ec3-a5e7-4e098bc116f5

Bore vs. Stroke, a little math

    The swap started today.....

Before shoving that new enjun in the hole, if it were Mine, I`d be shoving a new oil pump and rear main seal in it too. Also the front transmission pump seal. Good thread, nice truck and build too.

    New here from Augusta GA

That is one sweet looking truck. If You decide to keep the solid lifters and cam. I like to use a dial indicator to adjust the valve lash, much better and more accurate than a feeler gauge. Feeler gauge bridges the worn spots on the rocker arm, where the valve stem rides, dial indicator takes...

Come on over, I have a 91 K1500, extended cab, manual trans, needs an engine. I have put about 650 bucks into this unit, brakes, ball joints, changed fluids and new cam, lifters, push rods, rocker arms, oil pump, timing chain/sprocket set and changed all the fluids. Turned out the lifter ticking...

Wires Run To Transmission Through Floor

There is wires run to the front of the tunnel on My 78 K20. I believe it has to do with the backup lamps on the back end. On Mine there is a place for them to run through, sort of bent up wards to make clearance, appeared to be from the factory like that. In the pic. I dont see that bent up...

    88 r30 500.00?

Find a rear door off of a Suburban and drive it. CCs are very tough to come by, SB CCs are even harder to find, at least in these parts.

    Pto

Nice setup Honkey Kong. I have thought about setting up an air compressor similar to that.

That`ll be a fun to drive outfit. What enjun and trans are you going to use ?
  24. MrMarty51

    Pto

Dump trucks was My main purpose when working for the Montana DOT. Not much to installing a PTO. A shift cable or lever is all thats needed for engagement, unless You get fancy and do it with air or 12 volt power solenoid. Use shims or gaskets to get the gears spacing.
