the 4rth digit in the vin tells them the weight class of the truck 1= 10 series 1/2 ton LD emissions, 2=20 series 3/4 ton HD emissions, 3=30 series 1 ton HD and a 4=10 series heavy half ton HD emissions. plus in 77 the gvwr is on the vin plate.

I had the same issue several years back. I ended up pressing the pin out of the roller and then welded the pins in instead of peening them. then pressed the roller back on.

the switch with the blue connector is the 4th gear switch if that switch is bad (stuck closed) or the black wire attached to it is shorted to ground the trans can go into lock up any time there is power to the transmission.
Im going to say you have a wiring issue and or a bad 4th gear switch.
If you pull the pan and post a pic of what switches it has that would help.
In your truck it should only engage in 4th. In 4th gear the 4th gear switch closes and complete the circuit to engage the torque converter...
The sills connect to the bed sides and form a grid with the wood and the antiskid strips (top metal strips). Kind of got to look at it as the bed is its own separate assembly.
I believe all long bed ,short bed ,step and fleet sides used a total of 8 mounting bolts 2 pair in front 2 pair in the rear. All your other cross pieces are just to attach the wood so they dont need the extra mounting holes.
