    Cooling suggestions k5 454

What do you mean by “larger fan”? What was the fan from? I’ve used both factory 7 blade (standard rotation) and 9 blade (reverse rotation) fans without shroud issues.

    Driver’s door decals

Mine is still pretty legible but I don’t want to remove it because it should peel off unreadable in layers.

    Cooling suggestions k5 454

I used to run that cooling system recipe in my old K10 with a 454 and it worked fantastic. When I built my Blazer I actually bumped the system up a bit. I now run a 4 row radiator & shroud from a 6.2 diesel (same 4 row thickness and height but 6” wider than a gas radiator). This radiator has...

What have you done to your square lately??

I spent yesterday indirectly working on my Blazer, I replaced the deck on my trailer so I could haul it to a square meet next Saturday.

    Driver’s door decals

I’d love to get a replacement door VIN sticker with the date of production. My door had the sticker up high so when I cut the window frame off I “lost” it, I want one to put back on below the window line.

    Cooling suggestions k5 454

Just my opinion…. Use an 83 K30 w/ 454 as the application to shop for parts. Get a factory 4 row radiator and matching shroud then a 7 blade fan with a severe duty fan clutch. The fan is located at the same height for SBC’s and BBC’s but the distance between the fan and radiator is different...

BBC 396 wil not idle with any carb

There’s no reason a choppy cam’d engine wouldn’t idle around 800 or so.

What have you done to your square lately??

@Sgt Gus I appreciate the suggestion! Unfortunately, the hole is the shape of the upper window frame on the door so it's kind of a rounded trapezoid.

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah, the plan is for the windows to work however, at the moment, they don't. I'm waiting on some belt moldings and small parts from LMC. I also need to spend some time fab'ing a bracket to go inside the door for the rear caps to screw to and I'll attach the rear window channel to that. I may...

What have you done to your square lately??

I finally worked up the nerve to cut my original doors. I really like my tube doors but I'm liking this look more.

    AFR gauge installation

No, this one is just a wheeler. The cage is because it’s a full top but some of its parts are from my last truck that was a wheeler + deep pit racer.

    AFR gauge installation

Forgot my pic, I used both holes.

    AFR gauge installation

Ok. If you weren’t using the a/c vent I’d say install the gauge in that hole using some rough textured plastic (Lowe’s and HD carry it). You could do the same with the radio hole. The only other alternative is to put it on the column or hanging along the bottom of the dash.

    AFR gauge installation

Does your a/c work? If not, are you going to fix it?

What new tools have you got lately?

I want one of those cabinets but, like you said, they’re always expensive.

Did GM use Spicer parts from the factory?

More spines is typically stronger, the higher 30 spline inner axles were in the last few years so you should have them.

Did GM use Spicer parts from the factory?

As far as I know, Moog is just an aftermarket replacement parts brand. Your front axle would be a GM 10 bolt which I believe is built by American Axle Manufacturing.

Did GM use Spicer parts from the factory?

Post up what the truck is and we can tell you what would have been in it stock. We can also help identify what you have now, if needed.

Did GM use Spicer parts from the factory?

Spicer "parts" ? Yep, lots of them too. Spicer = Dana so... All of the '78-ish and older 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks, Blazers & Subs had Dana 44 axles. All '77+ 1 ton trucks had a Dana 60 front axle. All pick up dually trucks used a Dana 70HD rear axle. Spicer also manufactures and/or...

    Radiator/Shroud swap '90 to '86

What body style is the '90? Is it square or the newer GMT400 body style? If the '90 is a square body the parts will interchange assuming they are of adequate size for your needs (350 vs 454, etc). If it's a GMT400 then it's very unlikely the parts will fit.

    What year bed is this

Gas doors are 78~79+. I’m not sure what year the tailgate logo changed from centered to the right side but I believe it was around 81. I don’t know of any other ways to identify the year of a bed.

    Shifter Knob

There was another style between those 2 that was sort of mushroom shaped, I’ll post a pic in a bit.
