Gasket options for resealing 383 SBC
Pulling the engine sounds like a lot of work, but I figure it'd almost be easier to pull it to make quick work of the gaskets and head pulling. Body mount bushings 79 K30
I used LMC's cab and core support bushing kit. Good hardware and materials, and fit great. They are rubber, but I wanted better cab comfort and possibly avoid any noise or vibrations from poly. -

Distributor rebuild or replace?
I would just buy a summit or jegs dizzy and call it a day. You'd get a better coil too.- K10eddie

Howdy, So my 383 that I bought used about a year ago has been sweating and burning a lot of oil. About a 1qt a month, it's been slowly disappearing coolant as well. 454 Headers
I've seen guys use nova and chevelle headers on square bodies. They tuck real nice, but sometimes they get in the way of automatic shifter linkages. The flanges may also need to be cut and rewelded. As for a manual, I'm unsure how it might pose as a fitment issue.- K10eddie
