    Aftermarket sheet metal

    Aftermarket sheet metal

Yes that’s where they put them in ‘86. My ‘79 is on the passenger inner fender.

    Aftermarket sheet metal

I recently replaced mine with the AMD brand was very happy with the quality. Same thickness as the GM ones and all holes lined up pretty good. I painted the tops to match the truck.

If you still have it, would be willing to part with it? If so how much?

    New Inner Fender suggestions

I also bought the AMD brand inner fenders from Summit. Shipping was free (over $99). I was very pleased with the fit, I just painted the tops to match the truck and the bottom of them black. Didn’t even have to enlarge any holes to get the bolts to line up.

Were Wooden Beds Painted at Factory?

My dad is the original owner of his '69 stepside (yeah I know it's not a square but we all can't be perfect) and the bed was painted from the factory.

I like it. I have been thinking of running staggered 17's /18's on it. I like a little hot rod rake to

Looks great. I love the style of wheels on it. My son has been trying to talk in to 20's and I like the way they look, but I'm still a little to old school I guess.

    pics of 4.6/6 drop needed

Spindles and springs up front and axle flip in the rear. I had a weak leaf spring in the rear so I had my rear springs re-arched and a leaf added at a local shop. That added about an inch so it ended up with a 5" drop in the rear. I didn't buy a kit just used parts that I had for some old...

    pics of 4.6/6 drop needed

I have a 4.5 / 5 drop with 275/60/15 on 8" wheels all the way around. I have no problems rubbing. I do take it slow turning into a couple places that has a big dip, but most fo the time every thing is fine.

    Spicer spring

Wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers HotRod and sorry if i did. And you are probably right, mine is a "granny" 4-speed with a NP205 and a Dana 44. I actually still have my Spicer hubs in hopes I will run across the plastic center handle (part 5 in the drawing) one day. I just liked the way they...

    Spicer spring

My '76 K20 had Spicer hubs from the factory. The plastic center broke on one of mine and I ended up going with a set of Warn hubs.

    Wiring kits

I just got through installing an American Autowire wiring harness in my 1956 chevy I've been restoring. I was very pleased with it. All the wires were factory colors with the correct ends and plugs. Made for a real neat and easy job.

What have you done to your square lately??

Wasn't too bad, a scrap piece of aluminum, a couple of hours in the mill, some polishing and some rattle can bed liner for a little texture. I think they turned out pretty well.

What have you done to your square lately??

Installed new door panels and arm rest. Had to make a new trim section to go around the brushed aluminum panel the old plastic ones were shot.

    Original wheel options

Did they ever make a set of 16" steel rallies in 8 lug. I have never seen any but would love to have a set.

Thanks it's been handy throughout the years. I'm going to have to start saving up for a paint job before to long though. Factory paint is getting real thin. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk

Well the picture is a little older, I have the stainless tripods on there now. I hated the little sport mirrors, couldn't see anything your pulling. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk

Damn fat fingers. ...and you're right the bed is a little low in that picture, but it's ground it is sitting on. I have a dump on it so the bed will "flex" a lot more than normal. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk

I just didn't do enough research first or I would have put the 1" block in it when I was working on it. That's the only thing I don't like, it looks a little low in the back. But I can fix that, when I can find time. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk

It's sitting on 33's for now. I didn't do anything to the steering, no need with just 3" of lift. Me and several of my buddies took the 4 wheelers on a ride this weekend and I had one in the back and pulled a trailer with 3 on it. I ran between 65-70 on the interstate 1 1/2 hours each way. It...
