    C30 truck

Need shorter one. Want to say 60" cab to axle. Changing rear end out is not a big deal, but really want 4 speed to start with. I don't feel like changing pedals and trans out. I missed out on a nice 83 c30 with a 6.2 4 speed that was at scrapyard by a hr other day. They had done smashed top and...

    F-350 Dana 60 Front Axle

I know i've watched that extreme 4x4 and they said the mid 90's fords used the dana 50 straight axle kingpin. they even showed cutting ends off it and building a hybrid. That's where I based idea that it could be a dana 50. I have a true dana 60 kingpin single wheel from a 79 F350 in my axle...

    Vent window years.

I'm pretty sure they interchange as noted by retro. Difference between them is thickness and the way the latch works. early ones didn't have the saftey buttom to keep them from being opened as easy from the outside. You will have to use your window rubber track out of your old one tho since your...

I have a couple trucks with the 6.2's in them myself. A good running 6.2 runs like a stock 350 Chevy most of the time. I get 16 mpg in my military M1028a2 and 24 in my military M1009. I'm going be swapping one in my blue wrecker soon if all goes well to.

    replaced heads/intake wont start

I'm going guess he still don't have distrubuter timed right. If he is using top dead center with #1 valves overlapping it will be 180 out. #6 valves should be overlapping while #1 is firing. Use the terminal pointing towards #1 on distributer cap for #1 plug wire and go clockwise around...

    1973 Engine harness

I just pulled a complete harness out of a 76 C10 I'll dig it out and see if I can figure it out. From looks of your picture looks to be on the taillight harness. It's the flattest connector of the 3 that go in fuse box. There's not much to electrical system of the 70's trucks compared to the mid...

    Frame damage, heat with torch?

looks like passenger side from angle of picture. You may want to invest a few bucks in getting local frame shop to pull it. Last one I had them do only cost me a $150.

    Frame damage, heat with torch?

hook it to a tree and use a winch to pull it around where needed. Heat is a bad idea on a frame. Atleast it looks like damage is on passenger side where there's no steering box to fight with.
