    I have a 92 with a fitech 1200 power adder. I used an aeromotive 90psi pump with factory return line on my big block. Pump went in factory location. Had to eliminate factory wire connector but that was no problem.

    The mounting pads on the block are further back on the big block. The big block will sit higher and toward the front more.

    Yeah that moisture is a problem with those distributors. First time I changed my rotor on my 92, I had to bust the rotor to get it off. I didn't have to replace dizzy though.

    Don't forget to unshroud the valves if it hasn't been done. It helps the flow greatly. With 9:5 compression a .5 lift should work pretty good. 342 gear and 2500 stall would help also. I wouldn't go over a 195 runner for that 355.

    Yeah that's true. Not sure it would need the self aligners with the heads set up for that cam though. But there's no excuse for the short valve covers, unless there are no tall covers available for the center bolt style. I personally wouldn't use that style head for performance, so I don't know...

    To check valve geometry you need to mark the valve tip and install the rocker . Spin the engine over . Remove rocker and look at where the roller is moving on top of the valve.     If you don't have a coil bind issue, I would make sure the valve geometry is correct. After checking, spin the engine by hand, about a quarter turn at a time, and inspect each rocker for contact with the castings.
